Joshua Harris was the Green Party candidate for mayor of Baltimore City in 2016, securing a remarkable 10%-13% of the vote, but don’t confuse him for a politician. He is an activist who works in the community on issues of civic engagement, educating people on where to get needed information about what is happening in the communities they live in, and also training citizens on grassroots organization. He is also a proponent of the arts and how they can help to build strong communities, and his non-profit, Hollins Creative Placemaking, does just that.
We speak with Josh about his upbrining and move to Baltimore, how he was able to make it, his motivations and how he got into politics, and what’s next for him post election. We are honored that Josh took the time to speak with us, and this episode is a must listen.
